Twentieth
Award for GRF
GRF was presented with a Gold Award in the 2000 Christian Broadcasting Council Awards. The award was made at a presentation in Maidenhead at the Broadcasting Council's annual conference in September, for a series of morning thoughts which were broadcast earlier this year on commercial stations throughout Britain. Called Ally McDull: The Case Against God, the five spots of 20 seconds each, used the style of the Channel 4 TV series 'Ally McBeal' to explore evidence for and against God's love. Scripts of the broadcasts were also recently published in The Guardian, which featured them in their 'The Editor' section as their "worth hearing" radio item of the week. Our
new chairman, Andrew Barr, is delighted with the continuing recognition
of GRF's programmes. He believes this latest award confirms that
broadcasting of spiritual values can be both challenging and entertaining." More news about previous awards |
