GRF Programmes Awarded GRF’s innovative radio style was once again commended and congratulated at the Andrew Cross Radio awards at the churches media council conference held in June. ‘Faithdotcom: Christmas’ received the top award in the special programme category. The special Christmas programme explored the deeper meaning of the festive period by exposing the truths and falsehoods of the tradition built up around Christmas. ‘Faithdotcom: Christmas’ was broadcast by County Sound Radio in Guilford. The judges remarked “great spiritual impact because it was so understated. It was very well crafted, humorous, perfect genre for the audience and extremely creative- Criticism? NONE ! - not bad ! – Can anything be so wonderful?” A series of Christmas morning thoughts broadcast on Clyde 2 in Glasgow picked up a commendation. Entitled “Christmas? Love Actually” they again explored the message of love integral to the Christmas story. The judges singled this program out from over 40 entries reflecting the high quality and innovation embodied in GRF’s output.
