GRF is the longest established Christian broadcasting organisation in Britain.

In November 2008 GRF marks 60 years of continuous production of Christian radio programmes. To celebrate this milestone, GRF is holding two events:

    On Saturday 15 November, from 10am-4pm there will be an Open Day at 342 Argyle Street, Glasgow, G2 8LY (close to Central Station).
    Visitors will be able to see the studios in operation, meet the team, listen to programmes and see an exhibition of recording equipment covering the entire 60 years of GRF’s life.

    Please note that GRF's studios are on the first floor of a building which has no lift.  This means that access is difficult for those with limited mobility or in  wheelchairs.

    On Sunday 16 November at 6.30pm, there will be a special Thanksgiving Service in the place where GRF was founded in 1948 – at Findlay Memorial Church, 56 Clarendon Place, St George’s Cross, Glasgow G20 7QB.
    The guest preacher will be Rev Dr Joel Edwards, until recently the General Director of the Evangelical Alliance and currently a Commissioner on the Equality and Human Rights Commission, Chair of the Churches Media Council and Chair of the Micah Challenge UK - an organisation which campaigns to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

    All are invited. Come and see something new. If you are interested or need any additional information, please e-mail the.team@grf.org.uk or visit our website at www.grf.org.uk. We look forward to seeing you there!

Founded in 1948, GRF has always been a producer, making radio programmes for other people to transmit. GRF produces a wide range of programmes for stations in Britian and worldwide.

GRF's role is one of partnership - making programmes which complement the exisiting programme schedules of a wide range of stations, both mainstream and Christian.

In this role, GRF has supplied programmes to:

  • International Christian radio stations since 1948;
  • Hospital Radio since 1964;
  • Commercial Radio in the UK since 1973
  • Various overseas local radio stations since 1987;
  • BBC Radio since 1989;
  • Community Radio since 1990; and
  • Restricted Service Licence stations (RSLs) since 1992;
  • Internet Distribution (Audiopot) since 2001

GRF has supplied programmes to more than 150 radio stations worldwide. New partnerships are formed every year.

GRF is a charity and our programmes are all made by an interdenominational team of volunteers working in the evenings and at weekends.

This site provides general information about GRF; news of our programming schedule and output; and links to other web pages of related interest. Please email us with any comments or queries about GRF's programmes or about these pages.
